Lost and found information is often scattered across social media posts, WhatsApp groups, individual businesses and local communities. Someone who loses an item may not know where to search, while someone who finds it has no central place to reach the right person.
The challenge was to build one simple, trusted platform where people could report lost or found items, discover relevant listings and connect without exposing unnecessary personal information.
I designed and developed Foundly as a full-stack web application with structured categories and locations, smart matching, moderation, privacy controls, claims, private conversations and notifications. The platform also needed to remain fast and easy to use while handling sensitive listings, images and location information.
